Fresh Water, Salt and Techno

According a movie "High Tech Soul : The Creation of Techno Music. (2006)" Techno is created for people eager to communicate in the industrial era. That time people in Detroit need only three things "Fresh Water, Salt and Techno" for surviving just natural.

Less n Less and our DJs are always wanted to supply good Techno music in Seoul. That was also natural for us.. but after Quadro closed we had many time to figure out an answer regarding "why we are trying to do Techno which is not popular in Seoul" and now we know the answer.

Techno is a very important symbol or keyword for Less n Less. we are keep fighting against a system which is people just following without thinking, communicating and inspired such as media, TV and Internet gossip.

Techno is our Zeitgeist for living this huge but empty city Seoul.

We believe "Fresh Water, Salt and Techno" these three are still needed for people who live this life.


2006년에 개봉한 다큐멘터리 필름 "High Tech Soul : The Creation of Techno Music." 에 따르면 테크노 뮤직은 산업시대에 사람들끼리 커뮤니케이션 하기 위해서 만들어졌다고 얘기합니다. 그 시절 디트로이트의 시민들은 살기위해 필요한것은 오직 세가지 뿐이였다고 말하는데 그것은 "맑은 물, 소금 그리고 Techno" 라고 합니다.

레스 앤 레스와 우리의 DJ 들은 항상 좋은 테크노 뮤직을 서울에 전파하는데 항상 노력해왔습니다. 그것은 우리에게 자연스러운 일이었습니다. 하지만 클럽 Quadro 가 문을 닫은 이후 우리는 "왜 우리는 서울에서 인기도 없는 테크노란 음악을 하고 있는가" 라는데에 많은 시간을 가졌고, 이제는 그 이유를 알고 있습니다.

테크노는 레스 엔 레스에게 굉장희 중요한 심볼이자 키워드 입니다. 우리는 사람들이 미디어와 TV, 가쉽등에 의해 생각하거나 커뮤니케이트 또는 감흥받을 여유조차 없는 시스템에 싸우고 있습니다.

테크노는 거대하지만 공허한 서울에서 사는 우리의 시대정신입니다. 우리는 "맑은 물, 소금 그리고 테크노"가 여전히 이 시대에 사람들이 사는데 필요한 것이라고 생각합니다.
